1.  Alex Cobb

Cobb is going to be one of the best free agent starters in the off-season in terms of quality and contract. One minor concern about Cobb is his Tommy John surgery (missing all of 2015). However, Alex Cobb is proving to be one of those guys that succeeds for a long time after undergoing Tommy John. So far in 2017, Cobb is posting a 11-9 W/L with a 3.59 ERA and a 1.208 WHIP. The Braves could beef up the rotation with the addition of Cobb, even though the rotation for 2018 could look something like:

Signing a starter this off-season could be a reality depending on whether or not R.A. Dickey decides to retire at the conclusion of the 2018 season.

If he retires, I can totally see Atlanta scooping up Cobb this off-season to fill in his spot unless Atlanta wants to use a prospect to fill Dickeys spot. If not Alex Cobb or a prospect, then maybe…
