AAA Gwinnett Braves (21-17)

Monday

Gwinnett jumped out in front on Monday and held on for a 5-3 win. Matt Wisler had a solid start, going 7 1/3 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 6 hits and 2 walks, striking out 4.

Johan Camargo had a double, single, and a walk. Rio Ruiz had a double and a single. Ozzie Albies had a double, single, and a stolen base. Matt Tuiasosopo had a home run and a walk. Anthony Recker had a home run. Mel Rojas, Jr., Lane Adams, and Xavier Avery each had a stolen base.

Tuesday

Gwinnett shut out Norfolk on Tuesday 5-0. Aaron Blair had arguably his best start of the year, going 5 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits and 3 walks, striking out 6.

Ozzie Albies had a home run, two singles, two walks, and stole a base in a dynamic game. Anthony Recker had a double, a single, and a walk.

Wednesday

A scoreless game through 5 innings, Norfolk scored in the bottom of the 9th to defeat the G-Braves 5-4. Sean Newcomb went 5 1/3 innings, allowing one run on 3 hits and 2 walks, striking out 6.

Ozzie Albies had two singles and a walk. David Freitas had two singles. Kyle Kubitza had a triple. Xavier Avery and Rio Ruiz each had a double.
