Thursday

Mississippi hitched their wagons to a dominant performance from Sean Newcomb to defeat Jacksonville 2-0 on Thursday. Newcomb went 6 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits and 3 walks, striking out 8. Willians Astudillo was the big stick on Thursday with a home run, a single, and a walk. Connor Lien had a double, two singles, and a stolen base. Dansby Swanson had two walks.

Friday

Mississippi scored in the top of the 9th to beat Jacksonville on Friday 2-1. Michael Mader made an excellent debut for the M-Braves, throwing 6 scoreless innings, allowing 7 hits and a walk, striking out 7. Dansby Swanson was the only Braves hitter to reach base twice, collecting a double and a walk, along with a stolen base. Jake Schrader and Johan Camargo each had a double. Ozzie Albies stole a base.

Saturday

Mississippi took the lead for the first time in the game in the top of the 9th, but then gave it right back, losing to Jacksonville 5-4 on Saturday. Max Povse made the start, going 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits and 2 walks, striking out 5. Ozzie Albies had a big game, with a triple, two singles, and a stolen base. Joseph Odom had two singles. Connor Lien had a solo home run.

Sunday

Mississippi defeated Jacksonville 6-2 on Sunday. Jed Bradley had an amazing start, going 7 scoreless innings, allowing 3 hits and no walks, striking out 8. Dustin Peterson hit two home runs. Connor Lien had two singles and a walk. Ozzie Albies had two singles and a stolen base. Joseph Odom had two singles.
