Monday

After spotting Johnson City 3 runs in the 1st, Danville shut them down the rest of the way, taking Monday’s tilt 6-3. Jaret Hellinger bounced back from that first inning to finish 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits and no walks, striking out 4. Ryan O’Malley had a double and a single. Matt Gonzalez had two singles and a stolen base. Elias Arias had two singles. Alex Lee had a double.

Tuesday

Danville broke out the bats to defeat Johnson City 10-8. Cameron Stanton made the start, but got stung by his defense, going 2 1/3 innings, allowing 7 runs, but only 3 earned, on 9 hits and a walk. The Nationals used a 4-run 5th inning to jump out front and stay there for good in defeating the Braves 7-3.
