Everyone Else

The return for Melvin Upton Jr.is now finalized though we don’t know the finances except to say the Padres are paying all except $5M of his contract (per JP Morosi on MLB Central at 11:30 eastern this morning.)

According to BA ($) Rodriguez was the Jays #8 prospect after the 2015 season. Having said that the Jays system was significantly depleted after the trades made in 2013-2014 in an attempt to get to the World Series.

Other outfielders probably on the move are Jay BruceJosh Reddick and perhaps Melky Cabrera and Carlos Beltran.

Though they haven’t said as much, it seems reasonable that the Braves would like to move Nick Markakis to create some more flexibility in the off-season; that would add logic to their spoken desire to keep Jeff Francoeur unless overwhelmed.

The outfield market is pretty straight forward – Giants, Dodgers, Indians, Orioles and maybe the Rangers.
