Monday

Gwinnett fell to Syracuse on Monday 7-4. Roberto Hernandez made his debut in the system, throwing 4 2/3 innings, allowing 5 runs (4 earned) on 6 hits and 2 walks, striking out 4. Omar Infante had a double and a single. Ronnier Mustelier and Rio Ruiz each had two singles. Emilio Bonifacio and Reid Brignac each had a double. Mel Rojas, Jr. had a single, walk, and stole a base.

Tuesday

In spite of a valiant come back effort in the ninth, the Braves fell to Syracuse 4-3 on Tuesday. Casey Kelly made the start and went 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits and a walk, striking out 3. Monday

Bristol put up 5 runs in the 4th and Danville couldn’t recover, losing 8-4. Luis Mora got the start and was excellent through three innings. His total line was 3 2/3 innings, allowing 5 runs on 3 hits and 4 walks, striking out 5. Ryan O’Malley had a home run and a double. Marcus Mooney had two singles and a walk. Collin Yelich walked twice. Trey Keegan had a single and a walk. Elias Arias stole a base.

Tuesday

Danville’s bats were loud on Tuesday as they defeated Pulaski 10-8. Jhon Martinez went 4 2/3 innings, allowing 4 runs (2 earned) on 5 hits and 4 walks, striking out 3. Alex Lee had the big stick on the day, powering out two home runs and two singles along with a walk. Bradley Keller had a home run and a double along with two walks and a stolen base. The Phillies put a hurt on the Braves with a big 9th inning in the first game, scoring the win 10-1. Alan Rangel got the start and looked excellent, going 3 scoreless innings, allowing just 3 hits and no walks, striking out 4. No GCL player had multiple times on base.

The Phillies scored the walk off win with two runs in the bottom of the 9th to defeat the Braves 5-4 in the second game of the double header. Ian Anderson started for the Braves, and he threw 3 innings, allowing 1 unearned run on 2 hits and 2 walks, striking out 2. Randy Ventura and Alex Aquino each had a double and a single. Griffin Benson had two singles. Anthony Concepcion had a single and a walk. Ruben Perez had a double.

Wednesday

The Blue Jays squeaked out a 1-0 victory over the Braves Wednesday. Bryse Wilson was dominant, going 3 innings, allowing a single hit and no runs or walks, striking out 5. Cristian Pache had two singles and a walk. Randy Ventura stole a base.
