Monday
The Braves gave great support to a pitcher finally, defeating Jacksonville 8-2. Brandon Barker went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits and a walk, striking out 4. Even the two runs were a bummer of a situation as Dian Toscano misplayed a single to right field, and the runner ended up on third with the official scorer ruling it a triple. That got Barker off his game and he missed his spot, allowing a 2-run home run. Matt Lipka had a big day offensively, clubbing 4 hits, including a home run and two doubles. Carlos Franco had three hits, including a double. Johan Camargo had two hits. Matt Kennelly had a home run in his first game back from the DL.
Tuesday
Mississippi was off Tuesday.
Wednesday
Mississippi scored a run in the top of the 9th to win 8-7 over Tennessee. Andrew Thurman got the start and went 4 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits and 4 walks, striking out 2. Dansby Swanson had four hits, including a double, and scored the winning run in the 9th on a wild pitch. Willians Astudillo had a home run and a single. Sean Godfrey had a triple and a single. Carlos Franco had a home run and a walk. Dustin Peterson and Matt Lipka each had two singles and a walk.
