This was our only rotisserie scoring league of the four this year, and it may have had the most exciting finish of the year. In the end, the top 3 teams finished a total of 1.5 points apart from each other, with the action on the final day of the season truly deciding two categories in the league.
In the end, Scott Dinquel’s team named “Mr. Lambert” took the title, finishing one point ahead of “Cordova Chop” and 1.5 points ahead of Bossier Biscuits. Mr. Lambert dominated the hitting categories, finishing first in every category except stolen bases for hitters and also winning the league’s titles for wins and WHIP for pitching categories. With that many category wins, you’d think that it would have been a runaway, but in the categories he didn’t win, Mr. Lambert finished near the bottom, which allowed for the other two teams to creep very close to the title themselves.
This league had three of our writers in the league. Yours truly finished 7th in the league, Fletcher Betts finished 10th in the league, and Alan Carpenter finished 12th.
Mr. Lambert’s squad was powered by a trio of fantasy studs on offense with Paul Goldschmidt, Bryce Harper, and Nolan Arenado leading the way along with Jake Arrieta and Max Scherzer leading his pitching.
Congratulations Scott on your win!
