Chris Johnson:

Chris, Chris, Chris… this was always going to end badly, wasn’t it? A throw in to land Justin Upton, and only here because your agent proposed an inexpensive, cost certain extension… what are we to do with you?

Potential Landing Spots:  Chicago (AL), Detroit, Cleveland, San Francisco

I honestly don’t know at this point. Fredi has even limited his exposure to RHP, but lefties have been few and far between. 46 plate appearances isn’t much, but his .386/.413/.500 line is impressive and indicative of why someone would be interested in his services.

I don’t think he gets moved this season.   Ken Rosenthal’s reports of a lost potential Johnson for Nick Swisher trade was indicative of just how desperately the Braves have tried to move CJ. If it hasn’t happened yet, I don’t see why it could happen now. No team could possibly view him as an impact piece at this moment, which is exactly what the trade deadline is made for. He potentially could be packaged in this offseason with another trade, but I don’t think Chris is the Braves third baseman to be moved this month.
