Best Honeymoon Ever, Day 4: Niagara Falls and Baseball Hall of Fame

Our first Sunday was not spent at a ball park, rather on the road visiting Niagara Falls and the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.

Niagara Falls was an amazing experience, albeit much too short. I would have enjoyed another hour or so at the falls, but that just gives my wife more reason to go another time. It is incredibly awe-inspiring and humbling to watch the power of the water as it crashes over the falls. Certainly worth the trip!

The majority of the day was spent in Cooperstown, NY at the National Baseball Hall of Fame. I loved every minute of reviewing the history of the game with my wife, who enjoys history and enjoyed seeing the displays on African-American and Latin influence on the game and the display on women’s roles in baseball.

I, of course, was busy enjoying the history of the game, something I love studying, and I was a very proud Hank Aaron fan when I noted that of any player featured in the entire Hall of Fame museum, Hank’s individual display is the biggest – bigger than Ruth, bigger than Mays, bigger than any other player.

The walk through the hall of plaques was very cool as well, allowing me to really enjoy seeing all the names scattered among the walls.
