April 22nd marked the first game recorded by baseball-reference in the history of the Boston Beaneaters (Braves).  It was played in 1876:  139 years ago, and the Braves defeated the Philadelphia Athletics 6-5, en route to a 39-31 season – finishing 4th in the new National League of 8 teams.
