1955 Milwaukee Braves

Record: 85-69 (2nd in the NL)
Top Player (by bWAR): Eddie Mathews (7.3)
Manager: Charlie Grimm

The 1955 Braves squad was right on the cusp of greatness, and many could feel it all season. They had a 2nd year player that would go on to hit the most home runs in the history of the game, a Hall of Fame third baseman who would hit 41 home runs that season, and Warren Spahn and Lew Burdette leading the pitching staff. In fact, the majority of the 1955 team was part of the 1957 team that went on to win the World Series.

All Stars: 5 (Eddie Mathews, Del Crandall, Johnny Logan, Hank Aaron, Gene Conley)
Postseason honors: None
