The Atlanta Braves released their list of non-roster invitees that will be joining the players already on the 40-man roster in Spring Training.

Apparently, Jason Kipnis was the last piece to the puzzle as the Atlanta Braves announced their list of non-roster invitees right after signing the veteran second baseman.

There are 25 players included on this list, joining those on the 40-man roster giving the team a total of 65 players in camp.

Teams will be allowed to have a maximum of 75 players in camp this spring. However, players can be removed and added throughout.

There aren’t a ton of surprises on this list, but there are some notable omissions. They didn’t include recent first-round pick Jared Shuster, or any of their recent draft picks for that matter.

You wonder if them not getting in time in Minor League Baseball last year resulted in this decision.

Especially with them all being college players, I would have thought they had a good chance at getting an invite.

Elder makes the most sense to me as he had a good bit of innings under his belt at Texas, but I understand the Braves wanting to hold them all back and make sure they’re ready for their professional debuts — whenever the Double-A and lower levels begin.

Braves: Outfield Talent Galore

The Braves have been blessed with some great outfield talent in recent years. That list continues to grow this season with Drew Waters, Michael Harris, and Trey Harris.

Waters is already considered one of the top prospects in all of baseball and could make his debut this season.

Michael Harris is the darling of Braves’ prospects right now and many expect him to be a top 100 prospect in all of baseball by season’s end.

And then Trey Harris made waves during his first full season of pro ball and could make an impact at the Major League level pretty soon being an advanced college hitter from Missouri.

There will be a lot of eyes in the outfield this Spring to see who stands out, especially after we weren’t able to see the progress they made at the alternate camp in 2020.

Later in the week we’ll do a break down of who we think has the best shot at making the Braves Opening Day roster from this list, so be on the lookout for that article soon.
