Atlanta Braves – Trade Deadline Target – Todd Frazier

Todd Frazier is currently hitting .300 with two homers and five RBI. The Braves have had recent dealings with the Rangers when they acquired closer Chris Martin for Kolby Allard last year.

Frazier is currently on a one-year deal and the Rangers might be tempted to get something out of “The Toddfather” with so little time left on his deal.

The only problem with this right now is that the Rangers are 10-13 and in third place in the AL West. This is definitely a name to watch, should the Rangers slip over the next couple of weeks, Frazier could be on the block.

Atlanta Braves – Trade Deadline Target – Kevin Gausman

Kevin Gausman was unceremoniously released by the Braves just last season. He was claimed by the Reds off of waivers. As much of a bad taste it left in the mouths of Braves fans to see him struggle and be released at the end, his career numbers look enviable at this point.

He has shown the best stuff in the Giants rotation this season. Over eight major-league seasons, he boasts a 4.30 ERA and does something many of the Braves starting pitchers have struggled to do this season, that’s throw pitches in the strike zone.

He’s proven over his career that he will limit walks. In his time with the Braves he was a little too much in the zone.

This season he is walking 1.8 batters per nine and has 34 strikeouts in 25.2 innings. Gausman is also coming off of a spectacular 11 strikeout performance against the Oakland Athletics. He is on a one-year deal.
