Why is he so important?

So why is Ozzie Albies the most important part of the 2020 Atlanta Braves team in my opinion?

The answer to that is simple, he will be the one to drive in Acuna and he should be on base for Freddie Freeman and Marcell Ozuna to drive in.

Albies is simply the link that will keep the chain moving — nothing more and nothing less.

He come close last season, but I think it would be extremely big if Albies can find a way to hit over .300 for the season.

The switch hitter made huge bounds last year from the left side of the plate as well. It was needed, because before that some were saying out loud that he might possibly just need to focus on his hitting from the right side of the box.

Something I found exciting is when researching Ozzie on baseball-reference.com some of the players that they had listed as similar to Ozzie through his age 22 season. These are names of the best to ever play the game, and it includes three current Hall of Fame players.

A few of the players on that list include:

Obviously, Ozzie has to maintain his current pace to approach any of those players’ careers, but it is surely exciting at the thought that his best years are still ahead of him and the Atlanta Braves.
