What to do with all this money?

Options, options, options. Plenty of them are in play here for the Atlanta Braves. Assuming the payroll stays at the level it is for the upcoming season. (Here’s to hoping it could rise after a World Series, though) we obviously have a ton of room to go with the free money.

It is important to keep in mind that some players will get raises over what they are currently making and that will obviously shrink the amount the Atlanta Braves have available.

Again, though, the Braves will have a ton of room and will have the luxury of being able to do just about anything they please.

You will hear many people (myself included) say that before the 2021 season will be the time to extend Freddie Freeman once again. It also might be time to try and lock up some of these young players the way they did with Ronald Acuna and Ozzie Albies this past season.

Perhaps Mike Soroka and or Max Fried are about to be paid with a long term deal. Even still, the Atlanta Braves would have plenty of wiggle room in the budget — one would think.

Maybe next offseason will be the time when the Braves strike and get another top of the rotation arm to pair with Mike Soroka for the next few seasons? Maybe they dive in headfirst and splurge on a free agent or two? The following players are free agents next year who could be of interest to the Atlanta Braves

Of course, the Braves could opt to wait another year and go for a player on the loaded 2021-2022 Free agent class

Next. AA on JD, third base, and money. dark

Again, the bottom line is the Atlanta Braves are in a great spot and are set up well for the long run. Much like 1991, we could be at the start of a long winning streak.
