#6 Scooter Gennett

Scooter Gennett broke out in Cincinnatti for the Reds in 2017 with a .295 average, a .340 on-base percentage, and a .531 slugging. He blasted 27 homers and 97 RBI that season in 141 games.

The following year he made his first All-Star game and finished with 23 homers and 92 RBI. He slashed .310/.357/.490 in 2018.

The 5-10 185lb second baseman became an unlikely cleanup hitter for the Reds.

In 2019 he struggled with injuries and only appeared in 21 games for the Reds. He was traded to the Giants at the deadline and was never able to get going last season.

While Scooter is a second baseman, he has logged nine games at third in his career. While this would be an unlikely fit, Scooter may provide a very good value with the bat.

Between 2017 and 2018 Scooter combined for a .303/.351/.508 with 50 homers and 189 RBI.

While he’s not a former MVP like Donaldson, he is coming off of an injury-marred season despite two consecutive 20+ HR, 90+ RBI seasons with a great slash between them.

Scooter may be looking for the right deal to prove himself but he wouldn’t come at near the cost Donaldson did last season.

Scooter is a left-handed bat that crushes right-handed pitching. He could make for a nice platoon with Camargo at third with Camargo being a switch-hitter that absolutely eats lefties for second breakfast.

For his career, Camargo has a slash of .291/.346/.522 against southpaws.

Scooter and Camargo could make a very productive combination at third.
