20. Los Angeles Angels

The Angels had lost 8 in a row before reeling off the last 2 of a 4 game set with the Red Sox this weekend. This team needs pitching and I mean more than just a potential Shohei Ohtani pitching return next year.

19. San Francisco Giants

Good news is they beat the Phillies three out of four, but the bad news is that was preceded by a sweep at the hands of the Washington Nationals. I don’t know if many people realize either how good Jeff Samardzija has been pitching lately either.

18. Cincinnati Reds

I’ve been keeping a close watch on the Reds. I feel as if there is another team that can do what the Mets have done here recently, it might just be the Reds. I wouldn’t count them out of the Central Race just quite yet.

17. Arizona Diamondbacks

I’m fully convinced that the Dbacks are going to wind up at 81-81. Every time I look at the standings, they are right at .500. Oh, and a heads up, Eduardo Escobar is second in the NL in RBI’s…right behind Freddie Freeman.

16. Philadelphia Phillies

It feels as if the Phillies have swung their last shot and it just isn’t gonna work for them again this year. This combined with Jake Arrietta sounding awfully hesitant on pitching again this year is not a good combo for them.

15. Texas Rangers

As the Rangers close out Globe Life Ballpark. they look to do so with a winning record. They currently sit 1 game above 500, so that is a small fun story to watch to close out the year.

14. Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox are going to have to do some serious winning if they want any shot at defending the 2018 Championship. They have no shot at the division and currently sit 7.5 back of the wild card teams in the AL

13. Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers had a 5 game winning streak this week, and with that, they got right back on the heels of the Cubs and Cardinals in the NL Central. They start a big series with the Twins on Tuesday.

12. St. Louis Cardinals

The Cards got beat up on by the Dodgers and then got a consolation prize of the Pirates. The surprising stat is Jack Flaherty only has 5 wins this year despite pitching really good for the most part.

11. Washington Nationals

It felt a little weird silently rooting for the Nationals on Sunday to cool off the Mets some, didn’t it? Anyways, Nationals fans have to breathe a sigh of relief as it looks like the ankle injury that Juan Soto got Sunday looks to be minor.
