Atlanta Braves: Max Fried struck by line drive, Dodgers dominate in Game 2 loss

2. Hyun-Jin Ryu shut down the Braves offense
It seems like the Dodgers pitching staff has had the Braves number dating back to the 2018 season.
The story was no different on Tuesday night as Ryu shut out the Atlanta Braves allowing just 4 hits and struck out 6.

Ryu took a perfect game into the 6th inning against Atlanta but that was broken up by Braves catcher Tyler Flowers. The Dodgers starter threw 93 pitches and 67 of those pitches were strikes.
Braves hitters made a lot of weak contact and gave Ryu some quick outs on 1st and 2nd pitch swings. The hardest contact of the night came from Dansby Swanson and Josh Donaldson (both hits coming in the final two innings).
Unfortunately, the Atlanta Braves have always seemed to struggle when playing on the West Coast. The Braves had a .218 batting average against Dodgers pitching in 2018. That trend has carried over into the 2019 season.
The Braves offense is batting .145 in the first two games against the Dodgers this season with 16 strikeouts. That’s not a recipe for success against a team as good as Los Angeles.
Dodgers Stadium has not been nice to the Atlanta Braves whatsoever. The Braves have only won six games in L.A. dating back to the 2013 season.
I’m not sure why the Atlanta Braves struggle so often at Dodger Stadium but they’ve got to find a way to remedy this issue.
