Who can we trust now

To be completely honest, Luke Jackson is the only reliever for the Atlanta Braves that I trust in a high leverage situation right now.

Related Story. How Jackson turned his season around. light

And that’s crazy to think about considering he looked like our worst reliever after the first week of the season.

But he’s lowered his ERA all the way down to 2.57 on the year with a WHIP of 1.21 and 6 walks compared to 15 strikeouts in 14 innings pitched.

Josh Tomlin has actually become a pretty reliable reliever, but I like him more as a sixth and seventh inning guy to try and keep us in games.

We are starting to see him pitch in some more high leverage situations, but I’m not sure if I still fully trust him in that spot.

And I haven’t seen enough of Jacob Webb, but he’s been really good in 3 innings, mostly in low leverage situations.

I think we can put Dan Winkler in this group right now as well. He’s given up just 2 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks in 5.2 innings with 7 strikeouts.

I’m still not fully confident in him at the backend of games, but he’s been getting it done for the most part — outside of that 3-run home run to Trevor Story on Saturday.

And I have confidence in Bryse Wilson, but he’s only pitched 1 innings out of the bullpen. I wish they would just put him in the Atlanta Braves bullpen and leave him alone.

But I can also understand why they want to continue to give him a shot as a starter.

In the end, there is really only one guy in the Atlanta Braves bullpen that I trust in high leverage situations right now.
