What could Atlanta Braves get in a trade for Ender Inciarte or Adam Duvall?

What can we get for Ender Inciarte?

The hardest part in trading Ender Inciarte right now is that his value is so low. I still think he has a lot more value than Duvall, but it’s still not as high as it should be.

We are talking about a three-time Gold Glove winner with a career average of .287 and back-to-back seasons of double-digit home runs and steals.

Eventually, I think Ender gets it going, and then it will be hard to trade him — in my opinion.

But there is certainly a surplus in the outfield right now, and Ender is the most expendable player we have.

If the Atlanta Braves see an opportunity to upgrade the bullpen, and a team is looking for a Major League outfielder under team control for a couple more years, they have to pull the trigger.

But what exactly should we expect in return?

This is where it could get awkward because you’d be trading Ender to a team who wants to compete in the next three years, and the Atlanta Braves would be asking for Major League ready bullpen arms.

I’m not sure there are many contenders out there willing to sacrifice their bullpen pieces for Ender.

The obvious fit is the Cleveland Indians who the Atlanta Braves were rumored to have interest with in the offseason.

I’m obviously much higher on Ender than most, but a three-time Gold Glover with three years of control after 2019 should garner a pretty good haul.

I would expect a Major League setup man with at least two years of control, as well as two mid-level prospects.

Kind of similar to what the Atlanta Braves gave up for Adam Duvall last year — except a better Major League player than Preston Tucker.
