The Health of the Braves and Others

I know this is the “nah-duh” one, but staying healthy doesn’t just apply to the Atlanta Braves, but to their rivals as well.

As we mentioned earlier, any team who wins a World Series needs things to go their way. I think the Braves got that last year as they stayed relatively healthy until the end, while their division rivals were banged up.

While I do love the depth that the Braves have this year, there are certain players they can’t afford to lose. I won’t mention them here for fear of jinxing anything, but you know who I’m talking about.

And I would never wish injury on other players, but that is part of the game. If the Braves are going to win the NL East and get to the World Series, part of that will depend on the health of their rivals.

It sounds like Brian Snitker is going to give guys more rest this year to make sure they are fresh down the stretch.

As much as I want to see Ronald Acuna and Freddie Freeman in the lineup every day, this is a smart move.

Hopefully this strategy will keep the players fresh and free from injury.
