PHOENIX, AZ – SEPTEMBER 22: Left fielder David Peralta #6 of the Arizona Diamondbacks makes a sliding catch on a ball hit by David Dahl #26 of the Colorado Rockies during the ninth inning of an MLB game at Chase Field on September 22, 2018 in Phoenix, Arizona. (Photo by Ralph Freso/Getty Images) /

1. David Peralta

I think this is the one name out there that still makes the most sense for the Atlanta Braves, and is a player I think the front office is really pushing for.

Once the Diamondbacks traded Paul Goldschmidt it seemed like they were getting ready to rebuild. Especially when you consider they are willing to move Zach Greinke, and Patrick Corbin is now gone through free agency.

Plus, they have to consider the fact that the Dodgers control that division right now, and the Rockies appear to be set up to win for the next couple of years.

However, it appears the attempts the Braves have made to acquire David Peralta haven’t gone anywhere.

The 31-year-old left-handed hitter is coming off a career year in which he hit .293 with a .352 on-base percentage to go along with 30 home runs and 87 RB.

Just looking at those numbers, you can imagine how much more dangerous the Braves lineup would be with him hitting cleanup behind Freddie Freeman.

He is under team control through the 2020 season and is set to make just $7 million in 2019.

This guy would be a perfect fit for the Atlanta Braves, and I really hope the front office is continuing to push for him.

Give the Diamondbacks a top arm or two and let’s play ball.

I really don’t love the options out there in free agency right now, including former Diamondback A.J. Pollock.
