Is That All?

Pretty much yeah. Other names like Thomas Burrows, Cristian Pache, and Bryse Wilson have been having a good 2018 but have either only reached AA, have an ETA of 2019+ or both. Another name is Patrick Weigel but he’s still rehabbing from Tommy John surgery and just returned to the mound.

More from Tomahawk Take

Wilson is really interesting because he wasn’t expected to arrive until 2020 but is already in AAA and is somewhat holding his own: 3-0 record but 4.50 ERA, having just set a Gwinnett record with 13 strikeouts and a season-high in the Atlanta Braves organization with a 99 game score on Wednesday.

Still, don’t expect to see him anytime soon. The Braves will want to give him some more time especially since the rotation is already getting crowded with a full rotation and spot start guys.

So when rosters expand (or maybe sooner) don’t expect too many new faces to show up. We’ll most likely see more of guys like Adam McCreery, Dustin Peterson, Luiz Gohara and Rio Ruiz who have made debuts but still relatively a fresh face that’s doing well in the minors.

We have yet to see Ruiz this season due to Camargo taking over the role at third and Ruiz not doing well in the majors when he is there.

Is a guy that you want to see in this list, or is there another prospect that you want to debut this season. Or was Toussaint the last major debut for 2018? Comment below!
