Charleston jumped out with 7 runs in the 2nd inning en route to an 11-3 victory over Rome. Tucker Davidson made the start, going 1 2/3 innings, allowing 7 unearned runs on 6 hits and a walk, striking out 2. Jordan Rodgers had two singles.
Wednesday
Charleston absolutely pummeled Rome on Wednesday 14-1. Jeremy Walker made the start, going 3 2/3 innings, allowing 9 runs (5 earned) on 8 hits and 2 walks, striking out 2. In all, of the 14 runs allowed by Rome pitching, only 5 were earned, due to 5 errors and a passed ball.
Carlos Martinez had four singles. Kevin Josephina had three singles. Marcus Mooney had a triple and a single.
