Tampa defeated the Fire Frogs on Monday 4-2. Touki Toussaint got the start going 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits and 5 walks, striking out 5.

The South Atlantic League All Star game was abbreviated due to rain, ending in a 3-3 tie after 7 innings. The Rome roster was well represented, with three starters in the lineup with Cristian Pache and Randy Ventura starting in the outfield and Brett Cumberland starting at catcher for the South squad. Also on the team was closer Brandon White.
The Marlins scored 6 in the bottom of the 8th inning to defeat the Braves 13-8. Servando Hernandez went 2 1/3 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits and 4 walks, striking out 2 in the start. Dyvis Julian went 2 2/3 perfect innings of relief, striking out 3.
