Wednesday
Gwinnett scored 4 runs in the top of the 9th to steal a victory from the jaws of defeat against Toledo by a score of 5-4. Kris Medlen made the start, going 6 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 7 hits and a walks, striking out 2.
Ozzie Albies had a big day, with a double, two singles, and two stolen bases. Xavier Avery had a single, a walk, and a stolen base. Kyle Kubitza and Carlos Franco each had a single and a walk. Jace Peterson stole a base.
Mississippi once again found itself in an early scoreless duel, but Pensacola blew open the game to win on Monday 8-1 over the M-Braves. Max Fried went 6 innings, allowing 5 runs on 3 hits and 4 walks, striking out 5.
Pensacola shut down the M-Braves offense again on Tuesday, defeating Mississippi 5-0. Luiz Gohara went 4 1/3 innings, allowing 3 runs on 3 hits and 4 walks, striking out 3.

Wednesday
The Braves were tagged by Montgomery for an 11-1 loss on Wednesday. Tyler Pike struggled to find the zone in his first game with the M-Braves, going 3 1/3 innings, allowing 4 runs on 3 hits and 5 walks, striking out 4.

Fire Frogs off until Monday for the Florida State League All-Star game, involving Carlos Castro, Braxton Davidson, Drew Harrington, Alex Jackson, Tyler Neslony, Austin Riley, and Devan Watts. Tyler Pike was originally selected to the team before he was promoted to AA Mississippi.

Rome’s offense went off on Tuesday against Augusta, winning 17-3. Joey Wentz went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits and 4 walks, striking out 4. Joe Rogers struck out the side in the 9th for another solid inning since he’s been in the Rome bullpen.
