Thursday

Mississippi won a pitcher’s duel on Thursday 1-0. Luiz Gohara made an excellent start, going 5 innings, allowing 3 hits and no walks, striking out 7 in his longest outing since his return from the disabled list.

Kade Scivicque and Dylan Moore each had a double and a walk.

Friday

Pensacola had a big offensive game against Mississippi 6-2. Andres Santiago got the start and went 3 2/3 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits and 5 walks, striking out 3.

Luis Valenzuela had a double and a walk. Travis Demeritte had a single and a walk.

Saturday

A scoreless game going into the bottom of the 8th inning, the M-Braves were facing a 2-0 deficit in the 9th inning. Instead, they came out with a 4-2 victory over Pensacola. Mike Soroka got the best of Tyler Mahle in what is becoming one of the most exciting pitching matchups in the Southern League. Soroka went 7 scoreless innings, allowing 4 hits and no walks, striking out 4.

Levi Hyams had two singles and a walk. Luis Valenzuela and Connor Lien each had two singles. Travis Demeritte had a single and a walk. Dylan Moore had a single and a hit by pitch. Kade Scivicque had a double.

Sunday

Mississippi ended up on the short end of a pitcher duel on Sunday, losing to Pensacola 3-1. Kolby Allard went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks, striking out 1.

Ronald Acuna had a double, walk, and a stolen base. Travis Demeritte stole a base.
