Gwinnett entered the top of the 5th up 6-1 over Norfolk and ended up losing the game Monday 16-9. Lucas Sims went 5 innings, allowed 6 runs on 7 hits and 2 walks, striking out 6.

Carlos Franco had three singles and was hit by pitch. Anthony Recker had a double and two singles. Sean Kazmar had a double and a single. Jace Peterson had two singles and a stolen base. Matt Tuiasosopo had a home run and a walk. Lane Adams had two walks.

Tuesday

The Braves dropped a close one to Norfolk on Tuesday, losing 4-3. Aaron Blair made his first start off of the DL, going 2 2/3 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits and a walk, striking out 2.

Wednesday

A scoreless game between Mississippi and Biloxi went to the bullpens, and the M-Braves were able to capitalize more, winning 4-2. Mike Soroka was tremendous, going 8 shutout innings, allowing just 3 hits and no walks, striking out 9.

Joey Meneses had two singles. Travis Demeritte and Keith Curcio each had a stolen base.

Tuesday

Mississippi was trounced Tuesday by Biloxi 7-1. Kolby Allard went 3 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits and 3 walks, striking out 2.
