Gwinnett walked off with a 4-3 win in 10 innings on Monday over Syracuse. Patrick Weigel got the start, going 5 2/3 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits and 2 walks, striking out 1.

Adonis Garcia had two doubles and two singles. Mel Rojas had a single and two walks. Xavier Avery had a single and a walk. Johan Camargo and Carlos Franco each had a double.

Tuesday

Gwinnett was defeated by Louisville 5-2 on Tuesday. Lucas Sims made the start, going 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks, striking out 5.

Wednesday

Gwinnett jumped out to an early lead, but Louisville took the lead back right away and didn’t give it back in a 7-5 win over the G-Braves on Wednesday. Wes Parsons made the start, going 4 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 9 hits and a walk, striking out 5.

Though Rome had a scheduled double header, they were only able to get one game in on Monday before rain postponed the second game.

In that first game, Rome scored in the top of the 11th inning to defeat Greenville 3-2. Joey Wentz got the start and went 4 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits and a walk, striking out 3.

Rome split a double header Tuesday with Greenville. In the first game, Rome scored 7 runs in the final 7th inning to tie the game and send it into extra innings, where the Rome Braves finally won 10-7. Ian Anderson had a rough start, going 4 innings, allowing 5 runs on 8 hits and 2 walks, striking out 2. Thomas Burrows was excellent in relief, going 3 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits and no walks, striking out 6.

Justin Ellison hit a home run and walked twice. Brett Cumberland had a double and was hit by pitch twice. Carlos Martinez had three singles and a walk. Yeudi Grullon had two singles. Ramon Osuna had a single and a walk. Kurt Hoekstra and Cristian Pache each had a double.

Greenville took game 2 by a score of 5-2. Jaret Hellinger made the start, going 4 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits and a walk, striking out 1.
