Former Atlanta Braves star Brian McCann’s Suwanee house seeks $2.45M

FRANK REDDY / CURBED ATLANTA

More from Tomahawk Take

Wide open” is the phrase that likely comes to mind when perusing photos of former Atlanta Braves catcher Brian McCann’s nearly 10,000-square-foot Suwanee digs.

Within the cavernous chambers of this six-bedroom, six-bathroom, two 1/2-bathroom home is exactly the setup one might expect from a major league athlete with millions to burn:

Sprawling rec room, bar, wine cellar, home movie theater, memorabilia showcases, and a large backyard pool with spa (and a basketball hoop beside it).

McCann, who played for the Atlanta Braves from 2005 to 2013, is a seven-time All Star and six-time Silver Slugger Award winner. He currently plays for the New York Yankees — at least for now.

Built in 2008, the listing price for this monstrous dwelling is $2.45 million.

[ Ed. note:  well that’s interesting… if the Braves are so interested in McCann, then why is his Atlanta-area house now on the market?  Zillow.com indicates that it has been listed for 35 days, so it is indeed a recent decision on the part of the McCanns… and maybe a not-so-subtle message to the Braves?

Maybe Matt Kemp might be interested.

Another thing:  the house is being represented by Keller-Willians agent Peggy Pfohl.  Wonder if she knows Braves pitcher Philip Pfeifer? ]
