Mississippi blanked Jackson 5-0 behind a big performance from starter Sean Newcomb. Newcomb went 6 innings, allowing 3 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 6. Dansby Swanson had the big day at the plate, driving in four runs on a home run and a single. Joey Meneses had a triple and a single, while Dustin Peterson had a double and a single. The Phillies scored the walk off win with two runs in the bottom of the 9th to defeat the Braves 5-4 in the second game of the double header. Ian Anderson started for the Braves, and he threw 3 innings, allowing 1 unearned run on 2 hits and 2 walks, striking out 2. Randy Ventura and Alex Aquino each had a double and a single. Griffin Benson had two singles. Anthony Concepcion had a single and a walk. Ruben Perez had a double.
