Monday

The Braves snapped Indianapolis starter Tyler Glasnow‘s scoreless streak in the first inning, but they couldn’t manage enough runs as they fell 8-2. Manny Banuelos got the start, but he only lasted a single inning, giving up 5 runs (4 earned) on 6 hits, striking out 1. Ryan Weber pitched in long relief, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) over 4 innings on 5 hits and a walk, striking out 6. Reid Brignac had two doubles. Matt Tuiasosopo had a single and a double. Anthony Recker had two walks.

Tuesday

Gwinnett scored twice in the first two innings and made it stand up, defeating Indianapolis 2-1. Chris Ellis got the start and was once again erratic, allowing only one run over 4 1/3 innings, but on 4 hits and 6 walks, striking out 6. Blake Lalli had a double and a walk. Ozzie Albies had a single, a walk, and a stolen base. Ronnier Mustelier had a single and a walk.

The Braves split a double header on Tuesday with Kannapolis. In the first game, Mike Soroka spun a great game as the R-Braves won 4-1. Soroka went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits and a walk, striking out 7. What was most notable was that the one run was on the first home run that Soroka has allowed in his entire professional career. Ray-Patrick Didder had three singles. Austin Riley had a triple and a single. Luke Dykstra had a triple. Jonathan Morales had a double.

In the second game, the Braves were thoroughly dominated 10-0. Oriel Caicedo got the start, but he only went 2 1/3 innings, allowing 7 runs on 6 hits and a walk, striking out 1. Leudys Baez had a double.

Wednesday

Rome scored a shutout Wednesday over Kannapolis 4-0. Max Fried went 6 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits and 2 walks, striking out 9. Carlos Castro had a home run and a double. Austin Riley had a double.

Monday

Danville took Princeton to 11 innings before defeating them 5-4 on Monday. Jhon Martinez went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits and a walk, striking out 3. Corbin Clouse had 2 scoreless innings, allowing only a walk, striking out 5. Marcus Mooney and Matt Gonzalez each had three singles. Ryan O’Malley hit a home run. A pitching duel was blown wide open in the bottom of the 8th as Princeton scored 6 runs to help defeat Danville 11-3.
