Indianapolis defeated Gwinnett 7-5 in spite of a late Braves rally on Monday. Casey Kelly got the start and had his worst appearance of the season, going 4 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 4 hits and 4 walks, striking out 1. Ronnier Mustelier had three singles. Rio Ruiz and Ozzie Albies each had two singles. Daniel Castro had a double.
Tuesday
Gwinnett won in walk-off fashion in 12 innings. Lucas Harrell got the start, going 5 innings, allowing 3 runs (1 earned) on 7 hits and 3 walks, striking out 2. Ozzie Albies had three singles, a walk, and a stolen base. Anthony Recker had a single and two walks. Ronnier Mustelier had a triple, two walks, and a steal. Matt Tuiasosopo and Matt Lipka each had a home run and a walk. Rio Ruiz had a home run and a single. Reid Brignac had a double, single, and a steal. Mel Rojas had a triple and a walk.
Wednesday
Gwinnett was being no-hit until the 9th inning, but then they scored 3 runs in that 9th inning to force extras where they won on an Anthony Recker walk off home run. Manny Banuelos got the start for the G-Braves, throwing 4 2/3 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits and 5 walks, striking out 1. Jose Ramirez struck out 2 in an inning of work to get the win. Ozzie Albies had three walks and stole a base. Anthony Recker had a home run and a single. Rio Ruiz had a double and a walk.

Tuesday
The Southern League All Star Game was Tuesday in Pearl, making the Braves the home team. The South team beat the North team 5-1. Mississippi’s players were on the South squad. Dansby Swanson started at shortstop and went 2-3 with a run scored. Dustin Peterson went 0-4. Willians Astudillo came off the bench for 0-1, but the big news was that that was on a strikeout! Mauricio Cabrera got the final out of the game, but he was also tagged for the only run given up by the South team, giving up a run on 3 hits in 1/3 of an inning.
