Monday
Mississippi split a double header on Monday. Sean Newcomb started strong in game 1 but fell apart in the 4th inning, finishing with 3 2/3 innings, allowing 5 runs on 4 hits and 4 walks, striking out 6 as Mississippi lost 6-4. Dustin Peterson had a home run and two singles. Carlos Franco had a double and two singles. Jake Schrader had two singles. Mel Rojas had a single and a walk. Matt Lipka stole his 13th base of the season.
In game 2, Chris Ellis had a solid start, albeit struggling for consistency as Mississippi won 4-1. Ellis went 6 innings, allowing a run on 5 hits and 4 walks, striking out 6. While each Mississippi hitter but Matt Lipka had one hit, no M-Brave hitter reached base twice. Johan Camargo hit a home run. Dustin Peterson and Dian Toscano had a double. Mel Rojas had a stolen base.

The Braves got the win Tuesday 5-1. Robert Whalen got the start and went 6 scoreless innings, allowing 5 hits and 4 walks, striking out 4. Johan Camargo had three singles.
