Jackie Robinson Jersey Auctions…are Revealing
MLB got every team to take a #42 jersey and have it signed – by every member of the team. These jerseys are now available at auction until 9pm tonight, Eastern time.
As of this writing, the jersey with the highest bid is that of the Baltimore Orioles at $5810. Next is the Cubs at $3510.

Interestingly, the Mets jersey ($2010) is beating the Yankees jersey ($720) by a substantial margin… but the Nationals are the leaders of the NL East here, as well as in real life: $2210 right now. The Marlins? $870.
The oddest jersey – currently fetching $1560 – has to be that of the Arizona Diamondbacks… it’s their slate gray road uni … a horrible color under the best of circumstances. THe players used a red pen, which kinda worked, but it’s still a tough read.
MLB reports that all net proceeds of this auction sale will go to benefit the Jackie Robinson foundation.
