Atlanta Braves Potential Right-Handed Relievers

Matt Albers (33)- Fluky ERA last year w/ a serious drop in velo
Matt Belisle (36)- Lowered his ERA by a huge margin after leaving Denver. Surprising, huh?
Joaquin Benoit (38) – $8MM club option with a $1.5MM buyout. Good year, but not sure he’s worth that price.
Blaine Boyer (34)- Let’s get the band back together!  2 straight consistent years for Boyer.
Jonathan Broxton (32) – $9MM club option with a $1MM buyout is likely too high of a price tag as he lost some effectiveness w/ the Brewers but pitched well for the Cardinals. Velo still in mid-90s.
Joba Chamberlain (30)- Has never really put it together, but has good stuff and a fastball that’s mid-90s.
Tyler Clippard (31)- Same ERA but peripherals aren’t matching the production anymore.
Neftali Feliz (28)- A nightmare few years and could be damaged goods. Velo still there. Reunion?
Jason Frasor (38)- ERA very fluky this season, but it’s always been fluky. Coincidence?
Ernesto Frieri (30)- Serious velo drop and hasn’t been productive in quite a while.
David Hernandez (31)- Hasn’t been productive since ’13, but has an upper 90s fastball.
Tommy Hunter (29)- Closer stuff but’s never put it together fully in the bigs as a reliever.
Casey Janssen (34) – Has been very average the past 2 years and velo is dropping.
Jim Johnson (33)- Great for us, terrible for the Dodgers. A reunion makes some sense for both parties.
Shawn Kelley (32)- Had a great year in San Diego, but what pitcher doesn’t?
Mark Lowe (33)- His best year to date and velo back up in the mid-to-upper 90s.
Edward Mujica (32)-  Fastball velo continues to drop and his first negative WAR year in his career.
Darren O’Day (33)- Putting up some great numbers, even with a fastball that barely reaches 90. A “submarine” pitcher that’s likely repetitive with Peter Moylan likely in the mix.
Bobby Parnell (31)- He’d fit right in with our Tommy Johners! Can still run it up there from time to time but average velo has dropped.
Joel Peralta (40) – $2.5MM club option that likely won’t be picked up after a poor year. Velo still trending slowly downward.
Fernando Rodney (39)- Can walk a house, but also strike the house out. Eccentric, sometimes electric, but awful last year.
Joakim Soria (32)- If one Tommy John isn’t good enough, how ’bout 2? Still getting people out.
Dale Thayer (35)- Pitched in San Diego out of the ‘pen and had a near 5 ERA. This defies all we know.
Carlos Villanueva (32)- Good year for the Cardinals, but doesn’t bust 90 on the radar gun.
Ryan Webb (30)- Major League mediocrity at its finest!
