Thursday

Gwinnett had Thursday off.

Friday

Gwinnett came out strong after a day off, defeating Durham Friday 8-4. Kanekoa Texeira got the start and struggled, but the Braves defense backed him with multiple double plays and some very good defensive plays. Texeira went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 4 hits and 6 walks while striking out 3. Sean Kazmar was the only Brave with multiple hits as he picked up 2 hits, including a home run. Eric Young, Jr. had a single and two walks. Mallex Smith had a double and a walk. Joey Terdoslavich had a single and a walk. Cedric Hunter knocked out his 7th home run on the day and drove in 4 runs.

Saturday

Gwinnett got another solid, if shaky, start from Tyrell Jenkins on Saturday, defeating Durham 3-2. Jenkins went 6 innings, allowing one run on 5 hits and 4 walks, striking out 8. Eric Young, Jr. picked up 3 hits, including a double. Mallex Smith had two singles and stole his 15th base for Gwinnett. Joey Terdoslavich added a double and a walk. Mycal Jones drove a 5th inning Scott Diamond pitch out of the park for his 4th home run.

Sunday

The Braves were beneficiaries of an excellent pitching performance on Sunday as they shut out Durham, 5-0. Greg Smith got the start and threw 6 innings, allowing 2 hits and 3 walks while striking out 2. Joey Terdoslavich was on base 4 times with 2 singles and 2 walks. Jordan Lennerton had two singles and a walk. Eric Young, Jr. had a single, 2 walks, and stole his 15th base. Mycal Jones had a single, a walk, and stole his 3rd base.
