The 24-year-old LHP Kinman sports a 1.17 ERA in 23 innings of relief over 20 appearances (26 K, 15 BB). He has 10 saves for the Rome club.
CF Daris is hitting .277 with 10 steals and a .768 OPS with just 1 error in the outfield over 57 games.
Ozzy Albies is continuing to have the kind of year we were hoping to see back up his stellar numbers from last season: he’s now at .320 with a .790 OPS and 22 steals in 61 games. He’s the only Rome Brave with over 100 total bases (next closest is Jordan Edgerton with 85), and his OBP is at .378.
The only ‘gotcha’ in Ozzy’s game right now is defense at SS: 13 errors already. That actually doesn’t lead the club, as Edgerton has 16 next door at third base. Honestly, if those guys could clean that up a bit, I expect Rome’s record could improve a bit over the current 29-34 (2-2 since Thursday; several pitchers have lots of unearned runs on their tally).
A shout-out for Braxton Davidson: just saw a tweet mentioning his personal 10-game hitting streak. His bat is definitely coming around: .279 with 5 homers and 22 RBI and just 4 errors in Left Field. A .407 OBP and .406 SLG gives him a .813 OPS for the year, and those numbers are climbing. Real good to see.
