Monday

The G-Braves finished Monday on the top end of a 1-0 pitcher’s duel. Greg Smith threw 7 innings, allowing 4 hits and striking out 2. Barrett Kleinknect had a double on the day. Jose Peraza stole his 16th base of the season.

Tuesday

Gwinnett was beaten by a poor 4th inning in a 7-5 loss on Tuesday. Chien-Ming Wang completed 4 innings, but allowed 6 runs on 8 hits and a walk while striking out one. Cedric Hunter had two hits, including a double. Adonis Garcia added 2 singles. Kelly Johnson hit a triple on his rehab assignment. Ryan Lavarnway added a single and a walk, and Jose Peraza had two walks. Eury Perez stole his 26th base in the game.

Wednesday

It took 11 innings, but Gwinnett got to .500 on Wednesday with a 5-4 victory. Sugar Ray Marimon started the game for the Braves, and he went 6 1/3 innings, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits and a walk while striking out one. Jose Peraza, Sean Kazmar, and Barrett Kleinknecht each had two singles on the day.
