Atlanta Braves trade options for Center Field: Andre Ethier
Having a monstrous return from injury and looking like the Ethier of old, the Braves could consider Ethier in CF. At 33 years of age, Ethier is a health risk and is a bit below average as a defensive Center Fielder, but he provides a left-handed hitting spark that the Braves could use in Center Field.
Obstacles: Having a good year therefore his price would be significantly higher then what it would’ve been this offseason. He’s owed 18 million this year, 16 million next, 18 million in 2018, and a team option for the same in 2019 with a 2.5 million buyout. There’s room in the future budget, but the Dodgers would obviously have to pay some salary, of which I’m not sure they’d be willing to do.
