2.  Is a David Price or Jon Lester trade still a possibility for the Braves?

Ben:  Absolutely, however, I do not believe either would sign an extension in Atlanta, so it’d require a steep price in prospects for a rental in Lester’s case or a season and a half of Price.  I’m not sure I’m excited about that at all as a fan.

Alan:  No.  Tampa should expect a big return and we just can’t lose Sims and Peraza, which is what it would take.  For 2 months of Lester, the price should be a lot less, but the Red Sox are aiming too high.  We just don’t have the pieces.

>> If others bail out, I’d go back to Tampa and make one more offer tomorrow morning:  Lucas Sims, Kyle Wren, and Mike Minor as the core (would take a bit more).  That’s only for Price – not for Lester.
