Travis Shaw

Travis Shaw was one of the many players that the Milwaukee Brewers sent packing out of town.

I understand he was miserable in 2019 where he hit just .157 with 7 home runs in 86 games, but that came on the heels of a pretty good 2018 season.

At worst, I think this is an upgrade over a Johan Camargo/Austin Riley pairing.

Before the abysmal 2019 campaign, Shaw had never hit below 16 home runs in a full season and has twice gone over the 30 home run mark.

His average will not “wow” anyone, but then again, we are talking about modern-day baseball where .250 is the new .300 it seems.

Just one more quick note on Shaw, we all know Josh Donaldson had the awesome nickname “bringer of rain,” well Shaw has the nickname of “Mayor of ding dong city.”

So while he might not be as good as Donaldson on the field, his nickname game is maybe just as strong.

That’s our list of recent non-tendered players who could be of interest and service to the Atlanta Braves organization.

Let us know in the comment section below if you could get behind the Braves signing any of these players.
