Blue Jays’ drafting – 5 rounds from 6 years: 2010-2015

Alex Anthopoulos became the Blue Jays’ GM after the 2009 season, and lasting through the 2015 season.  He was Toronto’s Assistant GM for 3 years before that, but while he was operating in an advisory role, he would have be fully ‘up to speed’ for the time in which he got the main job.  Thus these are the drafts he was fully responsible for.

The other observation here is the number of compensatory picks that Toronto enjoyed for multiple years.  Obviously, this helped them tremendously, but you also have to draft well to take advantage of the benefit.

Round numbers begin each draft line; the ‘+’ sign indicates compensatory picks.
