Spring Training Week 2 – Roster Trends

One Week Done

Opening Day is now 4 weeks away.  Those not on the previous pages are either treading water or aren’t really in the mix for a roster spot in the first place.    In the case of the starting pitcher candidates … this is an important week for them.

But this weeks’ end, we should start seeing better trends – both in performance and perhaps changes in playing time.

Once coaches start to see players that impress, those players will appear earlier in Spring games.  Likewise, the down-trenders will move toward the later innings.  It’s merely a matter now of who wants it the most.
